Our Motto: Equipped to Overcome

WHAT WE DO

WHAT WE DO

What we do echoes in eternity.

PHOLA was established to deliver culturally relevant mental health and psychosocial support services that address the lasting effects of trauma, violence, and abuse. Our therapeutic programs foster emotional healing, resilience, and recovery—enabling individuals to live empowered, purposeful lives.

We work with people facing adversity to help them realise their rights, reach their full potential, and become change-makers in their communities, families, and workplaces.

Objectives

  • Promote emotional, cognitive, social, spiritual, and moral development in children, women, families, and communities.
  • Design culturally appropriate mental health and psychosocial tools in collaboration with trauma-affected individuals.
  • Deliver mobile trauma counselling and mental health services to underserved communities, especially to women and children.
  • Train and build the capacity of mental health professionals and community-based practitioners using indigenous knowledge systems.
  • Establish safe houses and respite facilities for women and children experiencing violence and rights violations.
