Ncazelo Ncube-Mlilo CEO
Ncazelo is a Psychologist Narrative Therapist and trauma expert with over 15 years of experience managing children’s programs that focus on their psychosocial wellbeing and mental health. Ncazelo has amassed skills in trauma counselling to support various groups that have experienced significant hardships in their lives. She has worked in the context of HIV and AIDS, poverty, and conflict and developed several tools and methodologies in partnership with those affected by problems to seek solutions that fit with them.
She has worked extensively as a Senior Programmes Manager leading the implementation of child- focused strategies and interventions in East and Southern Africa. Her work in mental health is well known Internationally as some of the tools and methodologies that she has developed are used in several countries throughout the world. Ncazelo is a competent teacher and trainer in the area of mental health and often delivers lectures to master’s students at various universities, especially in Australia where there is a huge following for her work.
Sasha Frade-Bekker – Board member/Head Researcher
Sasha is a qualified demographer, researcher, and M&E advisor with almost 8 years of research experience in public health and development. Sasha has a Master’s degree in both Demography and Population Studies, as well as a Master’s degree in the Management of Public and Development Management, and is currently completing her Ph.D. Sasha has held high-level managerial positions in research organisations, and private companies, and more recently has been working as a part- time lecturer at the University of the Witwatersrand.
Sasha consults for numerous organisations and firms, helping them to develop their research and M&E systems and capacity. She has a passion for her field, and for capacitating others to use evidence-based means to improve programmes and therefore beneficiaries of programmes and activities.In these roles she has coordinated national and international data collection, and has extensive experience in proposal writing, data collection, analysis, and report writing (both qualitative and quantitative, as well as mixed methodologies), she has also created numerous M&E systems for a number of organizations and has trained and mentored people and organisations in effective research and M&E system.

Over 17 years, of managerial experience in Finance, Administration, and Operations Management Miso has worked in the, public, private, and non-profit sectors. Qualified and experienced in Financial Accounting, IFRS reporting, internal controls, internal auditing, organizational policies and procedures, external audits, and risk management. Trained and experienced in NGO Management, Project management, and Organizational Development. Miso is a trainer in Finance for Non- Financial managers.

Mutsubi Ngwenya is a Musician / Music Producer / Sound Engineer / Content Producer Tv & Radio / Radio & Tv Presenter / Master of Ceremony / Public Speaker. He is also the director of the newly established Communication and Media firm Utopia Kingdom. Having worked at the SABC,
TRANSNET, Big Dawg Productions and a number of Sales management jobs, has given Mutsubi Ngwenya an appetite to be a catalyst in bringing information that is simple, clear, relevant, directive and quantifiable to the people of South Africa. Through the innovative and creative use of traditional

Thamsanqa Ngwenya – Board member/ Secretary
Thamsanqa Ngwenya is a Stellenbosch University-educated accountant with experience in external and internal auditing and financial reporting. Thamsanqa is currently serving as secretary of the Phola board. Mr. Ngwenya has worked with non-profit and profit companies in Management Accounting, Taxation, Auditing, and Financial Accounting.
